A delicious gastropub in the heart of Norwich city centre.
Once upon a time, when Norwich was one of the busiest market towns in the country, the city had a pub for every day of the year. The 1904 Licensing Act, Second World War and widespread slum clearances of the 1960s were responsible for a marked decline in these figures, with the number of public houses in King Street alone falling from 58 to just one. Raise a glass then to the lost taverns, tap houses and inns of King Street.
Enjoy a good range of cask ales, beers, spirits and wines, plus some delicious homemade food. And why not take the party outside as well? The Last Pub Standing have created an outdoor terrace area for everyone to sit and hang out, chat, eat and soak up the rays! When the weather is good, they often put on BBQs and live music events. The Last Pub Standing outside in the new inside!
Launched in November 2018, ‘above’ is the newest dining experience in Norwich. The official restaurant for The Last Pub Standing, their chefs take high-quality, locally sourced produce to create flavoursome dishes that pay respect to the foods of the world.
